The door already tells you if Owl Kitchen in Bukchon, Seoul, is open. A few steps downstairs, a simple, yet welcoming atmosphere awaits you. There will be no menu card on the table nor will anyone bring you one. But you can already serve yourself cold water that will be brought to you immediately. What you’ll get to eat depends on the seasonal, organic menu of the day. It’s one dish based on Korean traditional cooking that changes every day. However, the chef will switch meat or fish to tofu if you ask beforehand. Safe to say this is one of the best tofu dishes I ever had.
