A giant, majestic conifer towers over the place I live in. Since I moved here, I am even more fascinated with pine trees – and especially their Japanese renditions that represent their rough grace just too well. This time it’s the sceneries of Noh stages that got me captivated. As with Kabuki theaters, the pine tree is a central element here:
